The goal of this blog is to be a space where I can record and share my writing life: strategies, frustrations, triumphs, what works, what doesn’t work, and what I learn.
I may be preaching to no one but myself, and that’s fine.
But if you do happen to find this blog, and you like what you see, read along, and let’s see where the page takes us.
In case you want to get to know me a little better…
I’m a writer with an MFA in Creative Writing with a fiction emphasis. I’m writing a sci-fi novel, but have published short fantasy and personal essay. At the library, I look for:
- Italo Calvino
- Mervyn Peake
- China Miéville
- Flannery O’Connor
- Jeff Vandermeer
- John Steinbeck
- Susanna Clarke
- Neil Gaiman
- Emily St. John Mandel
- Anne Lamott
- Annie Dillard
And this is Sybbie. We spend a lot of time together.
